Soft-plastic (semi-rigid) vacuum extruder

Vacuum extruder is the main equipment for brick forming, used to extrude pre-treated brick materials (with forming moisture ≥12% and plasticity index ≥7) into mud strips of desired cross-sections, then feed them to the next cutting process.

Vacuum extruder is suitable for soft-plastic, semi-hard plastic, and hard plastic molding; select the appropriate model based on the molding requirements of different products.

Extruder Technical Advantages:

■ Lower-level motor drive arrangement: Most manufacturers' brick extruders use a cantilevered motor pulley, which is disadvantageous because the motor shaft transmits torque while also bearing bending moments, causing uneven stress on the motor bearings, easy wear on oil seals, and increased vibration during operation. In our extruder, the motor shaft and pulley shaft are connected via a coupling, with the pulley shaft adopting a simply supported beam structure. The advantages are that the bearings at both ends of the pulley shaft bear loads reasonably, transmitting only torque without bending moments, and the elastic coupling between the motor shaft and pulley shaft allows for certain coaxiality deviations, making maintenance easier.

■ Transmission form of the lower reducer: Most brick extruders use a parallel shaft gearbox, which has drawbacks like large size, high noise, low efficiency, and rigid connection between output shaft and main shaft, requiring high coaxiality and causing abnormal bearing stress and short lifespan. Our brick extruder uses a compact hard planetary gearbox, offering high efficiency, smooth operation, stable output, low vibration and noise. The gearbox is directly mounted on the machine body, avoiding rigid coupling, ensuring normal bearing load and longer bearing life.

■ Lubrication and cooling system for the gearbox: Most brick extruder manufacturers do not equip the gearbox with a cooling and filtration system, causing faster gear wear, reduced lubricant stability, and shorter lifespan, which in turn shortens bearing life. Our planetary gearbox is paired with a dedicated oil filtration and cooling system to ensure lubricant longevity.

■ Bearing Sealing: The bearing seals near the clay chamber on our brick extruder's main shaft use imported metal laminated ring seals, effectively preventing clay from damaging the bearings. Compared to the rubber oil seals used by most manufacturers, our main shaft bearing seals inside the clay chamber offer the highest reliability. The sealing for the mud press plate shaft and bearings inside the vacuum box on our brick machine all use laminated ring seals, ensuring dependable machine performance.

■ Forced lubrication system: Composed of gear oil pump unit, oil filter, and oil distributor, its function is to provide forced lubrication to the cutter shaft bearings, mud press plate shaft bearings, and gears inside the gearbox, ensuring long-term reliable operation of the equipment.

■ Design of the auger assembly: Our company's brick extruder auger assembly adopts a variable-pitch full-flight structure, effectively ensuring optimal performance of each auger section. Based on the actual force conditions of the clay in the barrel, each section experiences different stress and wear, and targeted measures are taken in the design and manufacturing of each auger section.
